  • Jess Lovell, DVM

    Owner
    Dr. Jess W. Lovell is the proud owner of the Coit North Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Lovell is a graduate of the University of Tennessee's College of Veterinary Medicine and has received additional orthopedic training at Texas A&M University and Iowa State University.

    Prior to joining the Coit North Veterinary Hospital medical team, he provided medical guidance, leadership and surgical support for a large group of veterinary hospitals in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Dr. Lovell's clinical interests include dermatology, dentistry, internal medicine and orthopedics.

    Jess has served as the professional liaison for the Colleges of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University and Oklahoma State University, and has been a frequent lecturer on leadership skills and veterinary practice at the University of Tennessee and various other professional organizations.

    He holds professional memberships in the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association, Tarrant County Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

    An active member of the community, Dr. Lovell recently served on the McClendon-Chisholm City Council.  He is also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), Veteran's of Foreign Wars (VFW), and the American Legion.

    Prior to his academic endeavors, he served his country as an Infantry Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.

    In his spare time, Dr. Lovell enjoys cheering for his kids sports teams, camping, cooking, fishing and being outdoors with his family.
  • Taylor

    Hospital Director / Veterinary Technician
    Taylor began working at Coit North Veterinary Hospital in May 2011. She has been active in the veterinary field since 2006, working alongside Dr. Lovell for a majority of that time. She graduated as a Texas Scholar from Sachse High School in 2007 and studied Animal Science at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Taylor enjoys horseback riding, fishing, volleyball, being outdoors and loves spending time with her wonderful family. Her four-legged family includes two horses, General and Daisy Duke; two dogs, Ace and Tuff; two cats, Tommy John and Graycee Ann; five Rhode Island Red Chickens and three fish.

    Office Manager
    Allison began working at Coit North Veterinary Hospital in 2014. Before she joined our team she attended the University of North Texas, Go Mean Green! She likes to spend her spare time traveling, hanging out with friends and family, and planning for her wedding in 2018! She has one rambunctious little mutt named Skylar who rules her house.

    CaraLee has been working in the veterinary field for the past fifteen years. Seven years ago she began grooming dogs and cats and never looked back! She enjoys hiking, cross fit, and golf. She loves spending time with her family and her two dogs, Bentley and Nikko.
  • Jodean

    Veterinary Technician
    Jodean began working at Coit North in July of 2017. But her love for animals started young, and she has been working in the veterinary field since 2006. She is a Plano native and attended school in Austin and at Texas Tech University. Though she loves all pets, she has a passion for critical care and senior patients. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors, reading, wakeboarding, and spending time with friends and family. Her house is ruled by her three dachshunds Darla Jean, Susan Jane, and Karl Wayne, and her sweet old boxer, Whiskey Blue.
  • Maryam

    Veterinary Technician
    Maryam began working with the Coit North Veterinary Hospital team in August 2012 and has been a veterinary technician since 2009. She loves animals and enjoys working closely with patients. Maryam has an American Short-Hair named Sonny, and a pretty tuxedo cat named Bonny. She loves snakes, tigers, and exotic sea animals. In her free time she paints, reads, writes, does photography, and is currently working on her Science and English majors.

    Receptionist & Veterinary Technician
    Hana began working for Coit North in 2014 as a Kennel Technician. She took a year off to go to college out of state and came back and began training for a Veterinary Technician. While going to school for an Animal Science degree, she has been taking on the role of a receptionist as well. Hana enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her four legged Shiba-Inu Rio.

    April has been working at Coit North since April of 2016. She loves animals so much that she has quite the petting zoo at home, lots of cats and dogs. In her spare time, April loves to cook and spend time with her family.

    Receptionist & Kennel Technician
    Emily has been working for Coit North since February of 2016. She is currently attending Texas Woman's University to earn a Bachelor's in Math. She has a big, sassy, black cat named Dante. In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, and swimming
  • Nick

    Kennel Supervisor
    Nick has been working for Coit North since April of 2016. Nick grew up in The Bronx and moved here with his family after the Trade Center attacks. When he moved to Dallas, he found his love for cooking. After working in the food industry for five years, Nick decided to mix his love for food with another passion of his, animals. Nick has two dogs, Eevee and Remi, and plans to one day mix his love of food and animal health in the future.
